Aromatherapydiffuser.co.uk is published by Scentech V.O.F. of 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, which makes and sells the Scentech diffusers and ScentPods named on this site. The notice at the foot of every page says so, and the label above the article says so, and here it is a third time in plain words: this is a buying guide written by a manufacturer.

Why a manufacturer publishes a buying guide

Search for an aromatherapy diffuser in Britain and you land on pages where twenty near-identical ultrasonic machines sit side by side with nothing to tell them apart, and on lists that give no coverage in square metres, no decibels and no cost per month. We sell a machine that works without water, and most of what reaches our support inbox is not about our product at all. It is about the choice that comes before it: reeds or electric, water or no water, how many square metres, how loud, what the refill costs. Those are the questions this site answers, with the figure and the date attached, including in the places where the figures do not flatter us.

The kitchen shelf on the guide is written to be recognised, not to be read as a report of a test rig. Anything we cannot attribute to a source is not written down here as a fact.

What we mean by aromatherapy on this site

We use "aromatherapy diffuser" the way British shoppers use it, as the name of a category of machine. It is worth being straight about one thing inside that category: the pods our own machines run on are blended fragrance oils, not pure essential oils, and we do not describe them as essential oils anywhere. If single-note essential oils are the point of the exercise for you, an ultrasonic diffuser and your own bottles are the honest answer, and we say that on the guide as well.

How the recommendation is reached

Five things: whether the machine needs water, its stated coverage in m², its stated noise in dB, the cost of a refill per month, and the controls, meaning timer, weekly schedule and app. Every value comes from somewhere you can check: a manufacturer's specification table, a product page at the named retailer, or a public review platform, each with the date we read it. The British catch, stated plainly

On 9 September 2026 the Scentech checkout would not offer a delivery option for a British address. We have left that in the guide, the FAQ and the method page rather than dropping it quietly, because a buying guide that sends you to a shop which cannot take your order is worth nothing. The pound prices on this site are the shop's own conversion from euros on that same date, so they move with the exchange rate.

An order placed at getscentech.com through a link on this site is attributed to this site. You pay nothing extra for that and the offer page is identical for every visitor. The other brands named here pay us nothing, have not seen the text in advance and cannot change it.
